Before I Got Engaged
Before joining Engage, I built an eclectic career across multiple industries, gaining valuable experience that continues to shape my professional journey. I spent seven years working in the creative sector as a Make-Up Artist in TV, Fashion, and Theatre, honing my artistic skills and attention to detail. I then transitioned into front-of-house, administration, and marketing roles for three years, developing strong organisational and customer service expertise, as well as continuing my creative spark. After taking time to be a stay-at-home mum to my wonderful little boy, I joined NHS Lanarkshire as a contract tracer with Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am extremely grateful for my diverse career path, as it has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and transferable skills that allow me to adapt seamlessly to new environments. My broad experience across different industries enables me to bring a fresh perspective and a versatile skill set to any role.
Why I got Engaged?
I joined Engage Recruitment in January 2024, marking my introduction to the recruitment industry. The broad job scope immediately appealed to me, as it aligned perfectly with my diverse skill set—not only allowing me to provide support but also to contribute and enhance the role. When I met Anne-Marie, her passion for the business was truly infectious, and I knew I wanted to be part of such a driven team. Since joining, it has been a fast-paced learning experience, one that I am thoroughly enjoying as I continue to develop my knowledge and skills in the recruitment industry.
What Engages me?
Personally, most of my time is taken up by being a busy mum to my amazing little boy and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Family time is always a priority for me. The spare time I do have, I enjoy movies and love a good documentary. I am an avid reader, I will read any genre and love spending time out in nature with family and my little dog Vinnie.
Professionally, what engages me is my love for learning every day and continuously developing my skills. I am passionate about people and take great pride in delivering the best possible service, ensuring that every interaction is meaningful and impactful. I thrive on seeing projects through to completion and gain immense satisfaction from achieving results. I also enjoy embracing new challenges, pushing myself to adapt and grow in different environments. This drive keeps me motivated and excited about the work I do, allowing me to make a real difference.
