Job Description: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Reporting to: CI & Engineering Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our client in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement activities, managing and implementing a portfolio of improvement projects, and collating and analysing performance data to enhance operational efficiency. Ideally someone with manufacturing experience (plastic moulding preferred). 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Manage and implement a portfolio of improvement projects from inception to completion.
Collate, analyse, and report on performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions.
Utilise lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimise processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

Competence in Electrical or Mechanical systems with a minimum of HNC.
Proficiency in CAD systems.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and Experience
In-depth knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
Yellow Belt in Six Sigma.
Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Systems.
Previous experience in an engineering position.
Understanding of Q-Pulse quality management software.
